Each ticket and sponsorship package can say which days and sub-events it includes, and for how many of its guests: a Gold sponsor package can include Friday's gala for all six guests and golf for four. Managers can give a ticket or package to a guest free, just as if they'd bought it. And a package for your founders can stay off your event page, for only the people you send its private link to.

What's included
When your event has days and sub-events, each ticket type and package has a What's included list: a tick for each day and sub-event, and how many of its guests get it.
Nothing ticked: its guests join the days and sub-events new guests are put in automatically.
Something ticked: its guests go on exactly those, and not the automatic ones.
The buyer chooses who. Where fewer guests get one than it covers, the buyer ticks who's coming to it as they name their guests, and their page says how many places on their order are left to give.
On your event page, each one says what it includes, like “Includes Welcome dinner, Friday, Golf event (4 of the 6 guests) and Saturday”.
Places a ticket or package promises count against each day's limit before the guests are named. When the golf event is full, a ticket or package that includes it shows as sold out, with the reason: “Golf event is full, so the Gold sponsor package is sold out.”
What's included comes with days and sub-events, so changing it needs a plan that has them.
Private links
Each ticket type and package is for Anyone on the event page or Only people with the private link. A private one isn't on your event page or in search results, and can't be bought there without its link.
Its link opens your event page with the Founders table at the top, under a note: “You were sent a private link: Founders table is only offered here.” Buying through it works like any other purchase.
Managers copy the link from its editor. If it's been shared too widely, Make a new link stops the old one working for everyone, straight away.
Giving one free
From the guest list or a guest's card, managers and owners can give a guest any ticket or package free. They get it just as if they'd bought it: the same seats, days and sub-events, and the link to name their guests.
No money anywhere. Nothing is paid, so there's no receipt, and it isn't counted as money raised.
Named only if you choose. For a package, staff can type the name to thank them as on the event page and the big screen. Left empty, nobody is named, and the holder can add a name from their order page.
Their email waits a minute. They're emailed in a minute or so, so an Undo straight after takes it back before they hear about it.
It uses places like a sale. It counts toward how many are for sale, and toward the limits of the days and sub-events it includes.
Tickets & sponsors shows how many of each were given free next to how many were sold. A free one can be taken back from its order: its seats are cancelled and guests named on it come off the list. Taking one back can't be undone.
The event's report lists sold and given free side by side, and says that given free raises nothing.
Who can do it, on which plans
Managers and owners set up tickets, What's included and private links, and give tickets free. Door volunteers and pledge collectors can't.
Free tickets and private links come wherever you can sell tickets. Sponsorship packages, and giving one free, come with the plans that have sponsorships, and What's included with the plans that have days and sub-events.
Give for free from the guest list: each ticket and package with its seats, usual price and what it includes, Gold sponsor chosen, and the name to thank them as.The event page opened from the private link on a phone: “You were sent a private link: Founders table is only offered here”, the Founders table with what it includes right under it, then the tickets and the Gold sponsor package.
In practice
How it plays out
Thanking a long-time supporter
The board decides to give a long-time supporter a Gold sponsor package, free.
The event manager finds them on the guest list, taps Give for free, chooses Gold sponsor and types their family's name to thank.
A minute later the supporter gets the same email a buyer does, saying it's free, with the link to name their guests.
No receipt is sent, and the money raised doesn't change.
A founders' table off the public page
The committee wants one table of ten for the organisation's founders, not on sale to the public.
They set it to Only people with the private link and copy the link from its editor.
They send the link to the founders themselves. Nobody else sees it on the event page.
Golf for four of six
A buyer takes a ticket or package that includes the golf event for four of its six guests.
Naming their guests, they tick Also coming to Golf event for the four golfers. Once four are ticked, it can't be ticked for anyone else.
The golf event's limit counted those four places from the moment it was bought.
